Download and Registration
The Digilivestock app is available for Android devices on the Google Play Store. An iOS version is in development. After downloading, the registration process takes less than two minutes:
Enter Your Phone Number
Your phone number serves as your unique identifier. You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS to verify your number.
Complete Your Profile
Enter your full name, national ID number, county, and sub-county. This information is used to verify your identity and link you to your livestock records.
Set Your PIN
Choose a 4-digit PIN that you will use to log in and authorize transactions. Keep this PIN private — it protects your livestock records and reward balance.

Once registered, farmers have access to a dashboard that provides a complete view of their livestock portfolio:

View all your tagged animals in one place. Each entry shows the animal's tag number, species, breed, age, health status, and current valuation. Tap any animal to see its full history.
Book Tags
Need tags for new animals? Request tags directly through the app. Specify the number of tags needed and the animal types. A local agent will be assigned to fulfil your order.
Transfer Ownership
Selling an animal? Initiate a transfer by entering the buyer's phone number. Both parties confirm the transaction, and the digital record is updated instantly.
Rewards
Check your reward point balance, view earning history, and redeem points for services or products. The rewards section shows exactly how each point was earned.
For Agents: The Field Toolkit
Agents have an expanded view that includes all the farmer-facing features plus powerful field tools:

Register Farmers: Sign up new farmers on the spot using their national ID. The process takes less than a minute and immediately gives the farmer a Digilivestock account.

Tag Animals: Scan a new tag's QR code, photograph the animal, and link it to the farmer's account. The app records GPS coordinates automatically for traceability.

Pro Tip: Offline Mode
Working in an area with no network coverage? The app works fully offline. All registrations, tagging, and data entry are stored locally and sync automatically when you regain connectivity. You will see a small sync indicator in the top bar showing how many records are waiting to upload.

Keep your profile updated. An accurate county and sub-county helps us connect you with the nearest agent for tag orders and services.
Take clear photos during tagging. The animal photos in the system serve as a secondary identification method and can be critical during ownership disputes.
Complete tag transfers immediately. When selling livestock, initiating the digital transfer at the point of sale ensures both parties have a clear, timestamped record of the transaction.
Check your reward balance regularly. Points accumulate with every interaction, and redeeming them before they expire maximises your benefit from the platform.
